- RIDE OR DIE-

Hey Yall I wanted to post something that makes me oh so excited. This is my favorite beauty products of 2017. Honestly most of the products aren't going to be a complete shocker for beauty lovers. I have accumulated quite few items this year to share. Also it being very close to the holidays, if I can reach 1000 followers, subscribers, etc. I will be giving away 3 prizes. I will talk about this at a later date and will post about it soon. The image I added only has a few products because I wanted to just sum up what is the best of the best but I will talk about the affordable options as well. I understand how makeup is an important key in a womans life and I hope this will help you with future purchases and or ideas for the Christmas season. Alright lets jump into the review of my most favorite products of 2017.
Starting with the cleanser, my hands down favorite is Philosophy purity made simple. This is a wonderful product to always have on deck. I originally stumbled upon this product in Ulta I think. I am a very hands on person when it comes to makeup shopping and I had a sh*t ton of swatches on my hand and normal rubbing alcohol wouldn't take off. I grabbed a small dab of that and rubbing alcohol and boom. Just like that all my life worries and problems disappeared. haha just kidding but it did take the swatches off perfectly and wouldn't ever recommend anyone doing that to your skin. Desperate come with desperate measures. Honestly the size and amount it comes with is worth the money (get the big bottle if you can), 16.0oz for like $36.00 really not bad. The next product I recommend anyone with dry/ combination skin is the Tarte frxxxtion stick exfoliating cleanser. I get dry skin in spots and also my skin does peel a lot due to the constant climate change in Tennessee. I need something to come in a clutch to fix my dry skin. this exfoliating stick is literally so helpful. I do have it in a travel size which I'm not sure is available anymore if it is ill link it below. I got this stick in a Sephora Play box, I believe it was maybe in the summer months because my skin was peeling super bad and so i tried the stick and it was soooo amazing. Wouldn't recommend using on the daily and or with a moisturizer following the use of the product but it really did what the product claimed it would do. I have now repurchased and personally think its worth the value of $22.00. I was kind of going to leave out a moisturizer because I use so many but I will say I have 2 favorites for 2017, first is Clinique pep-start hydroblur moisturizer. Why do you need blurring in a moisturizer? I am not sure but it makes you look like a queen so just use it. Also the packaging is pretty cool looking, when looking it up on Sephora all I could find is the smaller verison which is fine I personally have the larger one because it will last longer but its vauled at 9.50 (possibly like the sample size because i paid a sh*t ton for mine). The second most favorite is the Glam glow glowstarter moisturizer. Maybe its the smell or the fact it works but its amazing. It smells like candy, honestly if the made it into a perfume id wear it. I would say this is a moisturizer best used after you've done like the Frxxtion stick. It really obsorbs into the skin and it makes you feel like you have a fresh face. The only thing i could really find on Sephora about the product is the trio they have for Christmas. The retail value is $25.00 for 3 honestly pretty good considering the quilty you're reciving. After moisturizer we move onto primer, I'm going to start with the face primer. My up-most saving grace in my life is the Hangover RX primer by Too Faced. Dear lord Jesus it is great! Of course it smells like a vaction in bora bora but the way is keeps your foundation looking 100% perfect like all day, its amazing. By the picture you can see I'm about out of mine,I use it everyday. Now a girl always has to have a back up plan as far as primers. The second primer i would reach for would be the Makeup forever Step 1 primer. Yes it has its fancy color correcting one but i use the very basic one. Its easy and reliable you just cant go wrong. Moving to the eyes, the eyeshadow primer that has never let me down is the Too Faced shadow insurance. I have been using this for year and year. When i was 13 i was given the fairy pallet Too Faced came out with and it had shadow insurance and the lip plumper in there. Your eye shadow will NOT crease, you will NOT have the oily eye lid problem that some women have. Everything will stay in place it really is a girls best friend. Sorry i got distracted, Now for the face. The number one and only foundation i will only repurchase everytime is, Kat Von D lock it foundation. I have been using the foundation for YEARS now. There is nothing this good and will there ever be? I remember being in middle school/ early high school wear the KVD foundation and kids were like "whoa your skin looks so good" while they were wearing the covergirl foundation... Maybe I was exposed to the best of the best as far as beauty to young. I don't care i am just so thankful for this. It is the most full coverage, light weight, face perfecting stuff you will ever have and on the bottle it says 24 hours, its not lying. The price point is very very fair for the amount of product you get. I go through a bottle every 6 months and the price being $35.00- $40.00 I'm ok with that. That's around $6.00 per month if you broke it down. That's less than a drug store foundation, and you still look beauty. All - in- all i only recommend my family, friends and anyone who wants to know why my skin looks so perfect to Kat Von D beauty products. Story time, One day i walked into a Sephora and the KVD beauty section had been moved ( I thought it was gone like forever). As I'm frantically looking for my addiction this lady walks up to me and she says " is there anything i can help you find" and I looked at her and i said " yes whatever foundation and powder you have on your face. She laughed and said it was the Kat von D foundation and the Hello Flawless foundation by Benefit. I asked her why she was wear two foundations and she said the Hello Flawless makes the Liquid foundation look blurred. I'm like "ding ding ding" I need it! The price for Hello flawless is kinda high but if i look that good I'm dedicated. I use both but have never told anyone that secret. Oh and i forgot to mention its a powder compact not the liquid. Hello flawless compact come with 0.25 oz for around $34.00. I usually have to get a new one every 4 months which breaks down too $8.50 per month which is still drug store foundation prices. I will link the websites and products below as well with my shade. And i forgot to say this, the products i use may not work for some people and that's ok. Every person is different and every product is different. Speaking of drug store products the only drug store products i use is the Wet N wild highlighters. It comes with a generous amount of product and its like $4.99 Its a steal of a deal. Disclaimer though get lighter than your shade obviously your cannot sample most drug store products that one is a bit pink for my skin and in bright light looks like i have a bruise. When doing highlight I have found the trick for super show stopping highlight. Use a stick highlight such as Trestique or Benefit Watts up sticks and then put highlight over top. creating the sticky/ damp surface for the highlight to stick/ grab onto is perfect. For conture, let me explain something. I come from a place where deep conture is weird to others so I usually stick to the Anastasia Beverly Hills powder conture because its more natural looking. Natural is the southern way of life as in makeup. Not saying I don't exceed the limits at times but just saying. I feel like that conture kit is a little over priced unfortunaly. Its around $40.00 and I only use two conture shades and the highlight. I always add a bronzer within the vecentity of the conture to warm up the face. My go-to bronzer is the Too Faced Chocolate Soleill. For starters I have have a chocolate addiction so its perfect for me but it really does at that extra Umph. I almost for concealer just like every other person into beauty its Tarte Shape tape baby. Now I'm going to admit the applicator it comes with can really be loaded down with product to the point where not beauty blender could ever blend that out but beside that its really nice. My favorite blush is the Trte blush in shade Parttty. It last a hella long tiny is just an extra needed item I feel that beauty gurus are missing out on. On to the brows, I have fairly dark and thick brows. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow but very very lightly because there isn't much you need to do to them. I use shade medium brown if that puts things in prospective and I think its around $18 at Sephora. I last a really long time which is good. I find brown pencils to run out way to quickly for me. For eyes I just need one pallete and one pallete only. the Morphe 35O pallete is perfect of my golden eyes. Something weird you will notice if i ever do makeup infront of you I don't really use eye liners. If I'm going to a special event i will but the only one I trust is the Makeup forever Aqua XL eye pencil. I am pretty sure its water proof but that stuff doesn't come off. Using just a small amount in the water line will leave you with the perfect black liner. I'm sure youre getting tired of reading but we are nearing the end. I do have to tell you about my wild combination of mascaras i use. The Too faced better than Sex mascara is so amazing with my lashes. But to add that extra separation i will use the It Cosmetics superhero macscara . I was just recently introduced to the mascara and on its own it is the star of the show. To pair it up with Too Faced is like you're wearing fake lashes. Last but not least we have the lips to cover. I was given this amazing darker nude shade called Belle by NUDESTIX. If you ever see me out that's probably the lipstick I am wear it is a complement to any outfit and to any day. I do get a wild side and i need a good red lippie the second lipstick i will grab is my Nars, (the shade name I do not have its worn off the container. It really does tie together an outfit well. That is all of my favorites as far as makeup goes. I do have a few things to add and I do get questions on. What are my favorite purfumes? I am a snob when it comes to perfume I'm not sure why either. I like more natural smells, such as Tory Burch Rose. Another one i just cannot live with out is called the fireplace by Replica. Honestly close your eyes when smelling this fragrance. You will be transported to a childhood memeroy I promise. The only crappy thing is that perfume alone is $180. Yes, $180........ I only have a sample size because i just have not brought myself to buying that but it really does replicate the smell of a fire place perfectly. My final and best smelling, I wear it on a daily is Tom Ford Odu Wood. Have you ever seen that women in the mall that you know drives that white Mercades G-Wagon and wears a Louis Vuitton on her right arm. Yeah that's what that fragrance smells like. Haha that analogy actually made me laugh so hard because it really does smell just like that. Thank you so much for joining me on recollecting what my 2017 favorite products are. If you have requests on things i should review or talk about please let me know.
-XOXO SG
